TGA-200 Portable Gas Analyser.

 

The ASI. TGA-200 is a truly portable complete gas analysis system designed for field use.

The TGA-200 is a fully integrated Computer controlled gas analysis system specifically designed and configured for Environmental monitoring for the detection of trace level of gases in air. A membrane probe can be fitted to the inlet to greatly enhance the detection of Volatile Organic Compounds (V.O.C’s) and can also be used for the detection of dissolved gases and contaminants in water.. 
The TGA-200 system incorporates the latest AX600 Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer system, High vacuum tubo-molecular pumped vacuum system and is provided with a powerful software package. 

The Mass spectrometer.
The standard TGA-200 is fitted with the AX600 Quadrupole mass spectrometer. The ion source is fitted with an inlet probe that transport sample gas directly into the ionization region of the source to maximize sensitivity. A saddle mounted mass filter is fitted and a dual Faraday/Channeltron detector are both fitted as standard. There is a choice of mass range up to 300amu to suit customers individual requirements.

Vacuum System.
A 70 litre combination Turbo pump provides the main pumping for the Mass Spectrometer. This allows a 3 stage Diaphragm pump to be used for the backing pump providing a clean ‘oil free’ high vacuum. The Diaphragm pump also acts as a bypass pump when a capillary inlet is fitted. 

Gauges:-
An I.M.G. gauge is fitted with a front panel display to indicate the pressure in the mass spectrometer and a pirani gauge also with a front panel display monitors the backing pressure.

Interlocking:-
The vacuum system, Gauges, and mass spectrometer are fully interlocked to protect against overpressure.

Choice of inlets:-
Leak valve:- A very fine wide range metering valve is fitted to the inlet sampling pipe for direct gas sampling or opened to a fast flow setting for use with the following two inlet options:-

Capillary:- 

A capillary can be attached to the inlet, a separate bypass valve can then be opened for fast continuous on line sampling of gas at atmospheric pressure.

Membrane Probe:-
The TGA-200 inlet can be fitted with a membrane probe to enhance detection of V.O.C’s down to ppb levels either during atmospheric sampling, or alternatively can be used for analyzing dissolved gases/pollutants in water (e.g. Rivers).

Power Inlet:- 24V for battery operation. A power unit can be fitted to the unit to include operation from 100-250V 50/60Hz line voltages.

Battery Pack. A 24V Lithium rechargeable battery pack is available weighing approx 4kg that will run the instrument continuously for over 8 hours before recharging is necessary. The battery pack can be recharged in approx 4 hours and has a cycle life of over 1000 times. The battery pack can be built in to the instrument if required to provide a fully self contained unit.

Weight approx from 15Kg.

Instruments are built to customer requirements and therefore size and weight may vary depending on options chosen.
A PC Computer with ‘Windows’ installed is required for operation

APPLICATIONS:-

The TGA-200 Portable gas analyzer has been designed specifically for field and is ideal as an Environmental monitor.
Atmospheric Monitoring from Waste sites, Industrial Sites,, Factories, Containers etc. 
Water pollution. Dissolved V.O.C's.
Use of a sniffer probe will trace and identify Leaks from Vessels, containers etc.
